Early German Flintlock Pistol
Product Description
"Flintlock" is the general term for any firearm based on the flintlock mechanism. The flintlock is now obsolete. Introduced about 1630, it rapidly replaced earlier technologies (such as the matchlock and wheellock) and continued to be in common use for over two centuries, replaced by cap and cartridge-based systems in the early-to-mid 19th century.
This 17th century German flintlock replica pistol features a snaphaunce lock, wood stock with sim. brass furniture. The wider opening of this German flintlock pistol barrel helped in loading the weapon rapidly. This is a replica decorator model.
